I'm a very long-time user of East-Tec products. I've been using it since the Windows XP years. It's a wonderful product; nothing compares to this product. I've tried other so-called products; nothing erased after start-up or they only offer minimal options. East-Tec is a great value at this price as well.
I'm proud to say I've got a lifetime license. There are too many that offer those things anymore. I honestly don't know how I got so lucky to get one. First, it was a 1-year, then 3-year, or 5-year; then I got the lifetime version. I paid a lot for it, but well worth it.
I use the privacy guard a lot, about every couple of days, and use it to erase my online tracks so I don't get hacked, or before I decide to donate my old computer. I also use many of the other features from time to time. I've had friends and family ask me how to delete their stuff securely. I say, 'Go to East-Tec and use their products'.
